What this course teaches you to do

• State what one square of the grid counts, and proceed to the selected destination (route) without hesitation.
• Can state the names and order of the twelve stages, along with the chronological divisions.
• Can treat the boundaries between stops and stages with unreadable dates as "unreadable" or as a "range".
• Be able to distinguish between empty cells in the table that represent historical gaps and those that represent gaps in the curriculum.

1. How to Read the Grid — What Does One Cell Count?One cell represents 'the number of stops a given route discusses within a given section.' It is not the weight of history, but the depth of the curriculum.
2. S0・S1 — Pre-Coinage and Ancient CoinageS0 is a collection of short chapters, while S1 is dense with Greek routes. Both are source material for General History ①.
3. S2 & S3 — World Empires and the Three Worlds of the Middle AgesS2 is empires, S3 is the three worlds and imported coins. In S3, the Japan route is the most substantial.
4. S4 & S5 — The Globalization of Silver, and Banks and National BondsS4 is the thickest in the Section of Twelve. S5 is the Section of Banking and Paper, where No. 8 and No. 5 are located.

6. S7 & S8 — War and Crisis, the Era of the DollarS7 is the stage of the system's collapse; S8 is the stage of the dollar. The prominence of the Korean route reflects the number of recoinages.

8. How to Use Chronologies and Tables — Reading the Empty CellsAn empty cell can mean "did not exist," "did not survive," or "not yet acquired." Do not rule out the last one.
