coin shortage
銭不足 / coin-shortage — Phenomena
That there is not money enough in the world for its dealings.
Miniassegni1975–1978
⚠ This was a serious and recurring problem in the pre-modern era. If there was a shortage, privately minted coins would appear, foreign coins would flow in, and cloth and rice would begin to serve as currency substitutes. If the authorities do not provide money, society will create it on its own.
