Terms of Use
NOMISMA
These terms apply to applications made on or after October 30, 2026. For existing members, the refund if the service ends within 24 months of purchase and the three-month notice before it ends apply from the same date. All other terms apply once you agree to them.
This is an English translation of the Japanese Terms of Use. If the two differ, the Japanese version prevails. 日本語
These Terms set out the conditions for using NOMISMA (the "Service"), operated by Convoy Switch Co., Ltd. (株式会社コンボイスイッチ, "we" or "us").
Article 1 (Scope)
In these Terms, "Materials" means the text, figures, photographs, audio and video that can be read or viewed on the Service.
These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Service ("Users").
The Notice under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act and the Privacy Policy form part of these Terms.
These Terms are written in Japanese. If a translation differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
Article 2 (Accounts)
Users register with accurate information and are responsible for keeping their email address and password safe.
An account may be used only by the User who registered it. It may not be transferred, lent or shared.
Minors must obtain the consent of a parent or guardian before registering or applying.
We may suspend or cancel an account only if the User: (1) breaches these Terms; (2) uses the Service by improper means, such as another person's credit card or a shared account; (3) has not paid by the payment deadline after applying; or (4) is found to fall under Article 8.
If we suspend or cancel a paid account for a reason other than a breach of these Terms, we refund the amount calculated under Article 11.
Article 3 (Price and payment)
The price is 49,800 yen (tax included, one-time purchase). There are no monthly or renewal fees.
Individuals pay by credit card (Stripe) or bank transfer. Companies pay by invoice; the payment deadline is the end of the month following the month of the invoice. The timing and deadline of payment for individuals are as stated in the Notice under the Specified Commercial Transactions Act.
As long as the Service continues, you can read the Materials that are published. If the Service ends, Article 11 applies.
Article 4 (7 days from the day after your access starts)
All Materials are open from the moment your access starts. Until 23:59 Japan time (JST) on the 7th day, counting from the day after your access starts, if the Service is not right for you, we refund the full amount under Article 5.
From 0:00 JST on the 8th day, refund requests under Article 5 are no longer accepted.
Article 5 (Refunds)
You may cancel your application before your account becomes active.
We accept refund requests until the end of the period in Article 4. If you request a refund by that deadline, we refund the full amount you paid. You may request a refund once per purchase.
To request a refund, log in, press the "Request a refund" button on My page, and send the form that appears (giving a reason is optional). We record the time you pressed the button in Japan time and send you an email with a receipt number. A request made by the deadline is refunded in full even if the refund is processed after the deadline.
If you paid by bank transfer, please give the account for the refund in the same form. We do not accept account details by email. After the refund is complete, we delete the account details we held.
Refunds are made to the credit card used, or, for bank transfer payments, by transfer to the account you specify. We bear the transfer fee.
After a refund, the account returns to the free range.
After the period in Article 4, we do not accept refund requests. However, in cases such as double charges, billing errors, or where we cannot provide the Materials for reasons attributable to us, we will look into the situation and respond.
On the application screen, in every language, we ask you to confirm that you agree to start using the Service immediately and, if the law of your country of residence gives you a right of withdrawal (for example 14 days), that you understand you thereby lose it. Even in that case, the full refund within the period in Article 4 still applies.
Article 6 (Closing an account and deleting data)
Users may close their account at any time by writing to [email protected].
When we receive a request to close an account, we delete the account and the reading records, except for anything we are required by law to keep. Deleted records cannot be restored.
Closing an account does not lead to a refund of fees already paid (except refunds within the deadline under Article 5).
Article 7 (Prohibited conduct)
Users must not do any of the following.
Copy, republish, distribute or sell the Materials (text, figures, photographs, audio or video) without our permission.
Share an account with another person, or use another person's account.
Access the Service's systems without authorization, or interfere with its operation.
Act against the law or public order and morals.
Article 8 (Exclusion of antisocial forces)
Users represent and warrant that they are not, and will not in the future be, an organized crime group, a member of one, or any other antisocial force equivalent to these.
If we find that a User breaches this, we may cancel the account without prior notice.
Article 9 (Intellectual property)
Copyright and other rights in the Materials belong to us or to the rightful holders.
Works of third parties, such as photographs in the coin catalogue, follow the source and licence shown with each of them.
Article 10 (Disclaimer and limit of liability)
The Materials are for learning the history of coins and money. We do not give investment advice. The Materials do not recommend buying or selling any financial product or coin.
We work to keep the Materials accurate, but we do not guarantee that they contain no errors. When we find an error, we correct it and keep the date of the correction.
We may stop the Service temporarily for maintenance, system failures, natural disasters and similar reasons.
If we are liable to compensate a User for damage, the amount is limited to the fees we received from that User. This limit does not apply if the damage is caused by our intent or gross negligence.
Article 11 (Changes to and ending of the Service)
We may add Materials and correct them. We remove Materials only when a rights issue or an error means they cannot stay published.
If we end the Service, we will announce it at least 3 months before it ends, on the Service's website and by email to the registered email address.
If we end the Service within 24 months of the date of purchase, we refund the amount calculated as follows. Refund = amount actually paid (tax included) × (24 months − months from purchase to the end) ÷ 24 months.
"Months from purchase to the end" counts the months that have passed; any part of a month is dropped (for example, 17 months and 20 days counts as 17 months). If the result has a fraction of a yen, it is rounded up.
Example: if you paid 49,800 yen and the Service ends 18 months after purchase, the refund is 49,800 yen × (24 − 18) ÷ 24 = 12,450 yen.
If we end the Service, we will give Users who purchased it the illustrated books in PDF form.
Article 12 (Changes to these Terms)
We may change these Terms when necessary. When we do, we will announce the changes and the date they take effect on the Service's website in advance.
Article 13 (Partial invalidity)
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by law, the other provisions remain in effect.
Article 14 (Governing law and jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute concerning the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction, in the first instance, of the district court with jurisdiction over our head office.
However, if the User is a consumer and the law of their country of residence contains mandatory provisions that protect the User more than these Terms, those provisions still apply.
