Lending us material
The material of this school is made from photographs of real specimens alone. Having decided that, the pieces we do not hold ourselves can only come from those who do. That is why I am writing to ask.
He has dealt in antique coins for over twenty years — looking at the object, setting a price, tracing where it came from. The school’s course is built from that working eye. He is also a dealer in practice today. For that reason this school issues no authentication, valuation or price opinion on any individual coin. Neither the market nor particular issues are its subject.

What we ask for
Three things. Whichever of them you can spare is enough.
Images
Obverse and reverse. What you already have is fine; we will not ask you to shoot again.
Measurements
Diameter, weight, die axis. The figures alone already make material.
Readings
The inscription as read, and a note of what cannot be read.
What comes back to you
A piece you lend us leaves the following behind.
- Every place it appears names the holder and the photographer.
- Every relevant term (461 of them) and course (68) links to that piece.
- It is published in 7 languages.
- It joins the catalogue of real coins (436 at present) and is given a page of its own.
What it costs you
We take on as much of the work as we can.
- No writing required
- We write the description. Before publication you see where it goes and what it says.
- One piece is enough
- There is no minimum. A single coin already makes material.
- A fixed term is fine
- Tell us to withdraw it and the passage comes out.
