  1. According to legal provisions, in fiscal year Reiwa 8, the National Pension (Basic Pension) will be increased by 1.9% and the Employees' Pension (earnings-related portion) by 2.0% from fiscal year Reiwa 7.
  2. The full Old-Age Basic Pension for fiscal year Reiwa 8 is 70,608 yen per month (for those born on or after April 2, Showa 31). For fiscal year Reiwa 7, it was 69,308 yen. For those born on or before April 1, Showa 31, it is 70,408 yen.
  3. The Employees' Pension (standard pension amount for a couple, including two Old-Age Basic Pensions) is 237,279 yen per month (232,784 yen in fiscal year Reiwa 7). This is the benefit level for a person who worked for 40 years with an average income (average standard monthly remuneration of 455,000 yen).
  4. The standard benefit amount for the pension supplement benefit is revised annually according to price fluctuations, and for fiscal year Reiwa 8, it will be increased by 3.2%.
