The inscription reads "Sibjeon Tongbo". This is a high-denomination Korean coin with a nominal value of 10 mun. There are theories that it was minted in 1651 and 1793 (we note this range, following the collection's records). In a world where the 1-mun Sangpyeong Tongbo was the standard, the question of how such a large denomination would be received would later find a significant answer with the Dangbaekjeon coin.
