A 10 kreutzer from 1864, which identifies itself on its face as "SCHEIDE MÜNZE" (subsidiary coinage). It bears the 'A' mint mark of the Vienna Mint. It was a small silver coin for daily circulation under the Gulden, a denizen of a world that would recede with the 1892 Krone reform. The honesty of inscribing "subsidiary" itself taught the distinction between standard and subsidiary coinage, even within one's purse.
