A large gold coin that retains the design of the late imperial period. This is a specimen whose source filename itself specifies it as a restrike, minted in later years while keeping the 1915 date. Alongside the Maria Theresa Thaler of 1780, this is the country's second 'coin frozen in time'. On the obverse is a portrait of the young emperor; on the reverse, a double-headed eagle. Only time stands still amidst the glitter of gold.
