The two francs of the Vichy regime (1943). The dies were cut by the engraver Lucien Bazor. As on the one franc, the three words of the Republic are replaced by 'work, family, fatherland', and the double-headed battle axe, the francisque, is carried. A light disc of aluminium — money whose metal value has gone, cut with nothing but the ideology of the regime. ⚠ It is the coin of a collaborationist regime, and is shown as testimony to history, not beautified.
