A small copper coin whose name is said to derive from Ceuta, the city across the strait. Its face shows city walls rising from the waves. The kingdom carried the 1415 expedition into the design of its everyday small change: the cause travelled the markets not by sermon or poem, but on the cheapest coin of all. This piece is recorded as a find made in England.
