The "in relation to what" part of a ratio. The base number for "double," "half," or "30%".
A ratio without a denominator is not a number. ⚠ A change from 1% to 2% is "a one percentage point increase." It is neither "a 1% increase" nor "doubled." Express differences in points and ratios as percentages.
