An Austrian law of November 1947. As the Second Currency Reform, it stipulated the exchange of old banknotes and a partial freeze of deposits to curb post-war inflation.
⚠ A law with "protection" in its name actually reduces the contents of one's wallet. The names of currency laws are often euphemistic.
