Claims Supported by This Source

  1. Orhan's coins are dated 727 (1326–27).
  2. Weight of the akçe: 1.181 g in 1431 → 0.931 g in 1460 → 0.768 g in 1480.
  3. Fineness from the late 15th to the first half of the 16th century was 900/1000.
  4. The gold sultani began to be struck in 1478, during the time of Mehmed II.
