Claims Supported by This Source

  1. Savings deposit fraud is a scam where perpetrators convince victims that their cash card needs to be checked or replaced. The criminals, posing as bank association staff or similar, will say "I'm coming to pick up your cash card" or "I need your PIN for the procedure," then visit the victim's home to trick them out of their card.
  2. "Officials from local governments, bank associations, and others will never ask for your PIN or come to collect your cash card."
  3. As countermeasures, block incoming international calls to your landline, call back your nearest police station to verify their identity, and never give your cash card or passbook to anyone.
