- In fiscal year Reiwa 8, the National Pension (Basic Pension) will be increased by 1.9% and the Employees' Pension (earnings-related portion) by 2.0% from fiscal year Reiwa 7.
- The full Old-Age Basic Pension for fiscal year Reiwa 8 is 70,608 yen per month for those born on or after April 2, Showa 31 (69,308 yen in fiscal year Reiwa 7). For those born on or before April 1, Showa 31, it is 70,408 yen.
- The standard pension amount, including the Old-Age Basic Pension for a couple, is 237,279 yen per month (232,784 yen in fiscal year Reiwa 7). This is the benefit level for a person who worked for 40 years with an average standard monthly remuneration of 455,000 yen.
- The standard benefit amount for the pension supplement benefit is revised annually according to prices, and for fiscal year Reiwa 8, it will be increased by 3.2%.
