- Total government bond issuance for the beginning of FY Reiwa 8: 1,806,920 hundred million yen (180.7 trillion yen). Of which: Refunding bonds 1,357,586 hundred million yen; New government bonds 295,840 hundred million yen (Construction bonds 67,160; Special deficit-financing bonds 228,680); FILP bonds 130,000 hundred million yen.
- By issuance method: Market issuance 1,747,920 hundred million yen (Calendar-base market issuance amount 1,685,000 hundred million yen), Sales to individuals 59,000 hundred million yen
- Issuance limit for front-loading bonds is 50 trillion yen. Buybacks and cancellations from the market will be conducted as necessary.
- Reduce issuance of super-long-term bonds (40-, 30-, and 20-year) by 100 billion yen per month; maintain the issuance size of medium- to long-term bonds after the supplementary budget. Introduce mid-year hearings.
- Eligibility for purchasing JGBs for Retail Investors expanded to non-profit corporations, etc. (planned to start with the "JGBs for Retail Investors Plus" issued in January 2027).
