  2. Breakdown of the numerator: credit cards 82.9% (116.9 trillion yen), debit cards 3.1% (4.4 trillion yen), e-money 4.4% (6.2 trillion yen), and code payments 9.6% (13.5 trillion yen).
  3. Government targets: Aim for 80% in the future as per the "Cashless Vision" of April 2018. Aim for around 40% by June 2025 as per the Growth Strategy Follow-up decided by the Cabinet on June 21, 2019.
