- Headline: "The London Gazette Extraordinary. Published by Authority. Thursday, June 22, 1815" (Numb. 17028, p. 1213).
- "Downing-Street, June 22, 1815. Major the Honourable H. Percy arrived last night with a dispatch from Field-Marshal the Duke of Wellington, K.G. to Earl Bathurst, His Majesty's Principal Secretary of State for the War Department" — The dispatch arrived the previous night (the night of June 21).
- The dispatch is dated "Waterloo, June 19, 1815." It notes that Bonaparte attacked the Prussian outposts on the Sambre on the 15th, that the Duke "was not informed of these events until the evening of the 15th," and describes the battle of Quatre Bras on the 16th.
