Claims Supported by This Source
- Deposits for payment and settlement purposes (meeting the three conditions: payment services, available on demand, and non-interest-bearing) are fully protected.
- For interest-bearing deposits such as ordinary and time deposits, up to 10 million yen of principal per depositor, per financial institution, and any interest accrued up to the date of failure are protected.
- The portion exceeding 10 million yen is paid out according to the status of the failed financial institution's assets and may be partially written off.
- Foreign currency deposits, negotiable certificates of deposit, etc., are not covered.
How to read the verification levels. "Read Through" means the source was read in its entirety. "Bibliography & Abstract Read" means the bibliographic information and abstract were confirmed. "Via Course Material" means the source was referenced through the textbook or course text. The "Text Hash" is the SHA-256 of the main text from the publisher's page, excluding tags and whitespace, used to detect if the source has been modified.
