- Issued in Paris on December 4, 1718. Title: "King's declaration for the conversion of the General Bank into the Royal Bank." The preamble describes how Law first proposed a bank with the King's funds, which was rejected by the Council of Finances, and then requested a bank on his own account, obtaining the privilege to establish the General Bank by letters patent of May 2 and 20, 1716 (f1).
