Claims Supported by This Source
- The Bank of Japan provides two types of settlement assets: banknotes (used by individuals) and BOJ current account deposits (used by financial institutions). Both are assets provided by the central bank with no credit risk.
- Interbank fund settlements are conducted through transfers of BOJ current account deposits (BOJ-NET).
How to read the verification levels. "Read Through" means the source was read in its entirety. "Bibliography & Abstract Read" means the bibliographic information and abstract were confirmed.
