What is "money stock"?

  1. Money stock = The total amount of currency supplied from the financial sector to the entire economy (balances held by money holders, excluding financial institutions and the central government).
  2. What is included as currency differs by country and era. Japan uses four indicators: M1, M2, M3, and Broadly-defined Liquidity.
