A Bank of Chosen one-yen note from 1932. It features a portrait known as the image of an elderly man of longevity. The photograph shows the obverse and reverse in a single image, revealing the wear on the surface of the well-used note. One yen, equivalent to the Japanese yen, was the everyday unit of currency during the period of colonial rule.
