A 1 Kurush silver coin from the reign of Mustafa II. This is a large silver coin from the period just before the standard was fixed at about eight dirhams (25-26 grams) in 1703. The broad silver surface is filled with calligraphic inscriptions, clearly showing the Ottoman monetary aesthetic of using text as the main design.
