5000 Krone Banknote (1922)(obverse)
Staatsdruckerei, Vienna / Public domain(Wikimedia Commons

The 5000-krone banknote from the same year, 1922. A piece of paper worth 5000 times the smallest denomination coexisted in the same wallet. The exquisite printing, featuring a woman's portrait, shows that the skill of the printing office had not declined even amidst the economic avalanche. Three years later, this single note would be revalued to 0.5 schillings of the new currency.
