The design of the 5 won coin is the Turtle Ship. The photo shows the 1983 issue. Along with the 100 won coin featuring the portrait of Yi Sun-sin, it illustrates a design choice that allows one to carry a memory of the sea in their wallet. The ship on the small disc remains in memory longer than its face value.
