A large silver coin issued in 1486 by Archduke Sigismund of Tyrol at the Hall mint. As the first coin to represent the value of one gold gulden in a single piece of silver, it was a forerunner of the world's large silver coins.

⚠ The concept of "a silver coin equivalent in value to gold" initiated the lineage of large silver coins that would lead to the later Thaler, and then the dollar.
