What types of operations (open market operations) are there?

Claims Supported by This Source

  1. Funds-supplying operations: Funds-supplying operations against pooled collateral, outright purchases of Japanese Government Bonds (JGBs), outright purchases of Treasury Discount Bills, purchases of JGBs with repurchase agreements, purchases of CP, etc. with repurchase agreements.
  2. Funds-absorbing operations: Sales of bills, JGB sales with repurchase agreements, outright sales of T-Bills.
  3. Funds-Supplying Operations against Pooled Collateral supply funds against eligible collateral (such as JGBs, local government bonds, corporate bonds, CPs, bills, and loans on deeds).
