Claims Supported by This Source

  1. Banknotes have unlimited legal tender status under Article 46, Paragraph 2 of the Bank of Japan Act, and any number can be used in a single transaction.
  2. Under Article 7 of the Act on Currency Units and Coinage, coins have legal tender status for up to 20 coins per denomination in a single transaction.
